ROLE PURPOSE

Managing IT security for our clients. Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and review client network security, assessing vulnerabilities and creating informative and actionable reports for our clients. Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. Respond to computer security breaches and viruses, security incidents, follow the processes and guidelines to inform and update key stakeholders until the issue is closed. Conduct analysis on these incidents. To constantly keep adding solutions and knowledge to reduce risks within the challenging cyber landscape.

Using internal tools to monitor our client’s external information security score, reporting on this information, and proposing actions and recommendations based on this data.

Role Responsibilities

  • Management of security incident portal reports, correct classification of incident category and appropriate response and communications to manage the incident to closure

  • Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problem

  • Monitoring and reviewing information from multiple sources to detect or assess problems

  • Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical systems information security advice to clients and other external sources on an ongoing basis, exchanged in person, in writing or by digital means.

  • Develop information security policies or procedures

  • Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends

  • Implement security measures for computer or information systems• Test computer system operations to ensure proper functioning

  • Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues

  • Document operational procedures

  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish your work

  • Troubleshoot issues with computer applications or systems

  • Coordinate project activities with other personnel or departments

  • Monitor the security of digital information

  • Train others in computer interface or software use

Knowledge (preferable - but not all essential, let us know which you have)

  • University degree (BSc/MSc.) in IT discipline such as Computer Science, Cyber Security or similar (essential - must have)

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (essential - must have)

  • Certified on ISMS systems and industry-specific standards (CISSP, ISO27001)

  • Strong knowledge of IT security controls

  • Knowledge of OS, DB and Microsoft systems (M365 Global Admin certificate)

  • Knowledge of Log Management systems

  • Knowledge of Blackkite, Defender MS, Office 365, PC and MAC OS

  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, on national security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions

  • Knowledge of principle and processes for providing Customer Service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with 3rd party suppliers and stakeholders

  • Ability to use various sources of information, processing information, communicating judgements, and making decisions based on this data

  • Ability to identify patterns and understand complex pictural materials as used in alarming and monitoring of systems

  • Using logic and reasoning to identify and strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

  • Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience• Comfortable communicating with a wide audience presenting to VISO customers or in Webinars on Information Security topics
